Pricing for the Mitsubishi Express kicks off with the GLX SWB manual, which comes in at $38,490 plus on-road costs. This is a 1.6-litre twin turbo diesel variant, with outputs of 103kW and 340Nm. On the other hand, at the top of the range is the GLX LWB Tailgate, which boasts a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel motor and six-speed dual clutch auto transmission, and starts from $45,990 plus on-road costs.
Unlike some of Mitsubishi's other mainstream vehicles, the Express is produced as part of the alliance between Renault and Mitsubishi. Since Renault produces the Trafic commercial van in France, at its Sandouville plant, they also produce the Express there on behalf of their Japanese partner.
While there are an assortment of options available when you purchase the Mitsubishi Express, there is limited flexibility when it comes to the drivetrain, as the Express is only available as a front-wheel drive vehicle. Nonetheless, you do have the choice between two engine variants, including either a 1.6-litre twin-turbo or 2.0-litre twin-turbo. On the plus side, the front-wheel drive set-up of this vehicle maximises cargo area space in the back since it does not require a drivetrain to the rear wheels.
